FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens (WABC) -- One person is in police custody following a barricade situation and fire in Queens.
The incident unfolded just before noon Saturday at a home on Ocean Crest Boulevard near Beach 25 Street in Far Rockaway. Police say two family members were found dead inside the home.
Police initially responded to a report of shots fired at the location.
When officers arrived, they reported a fire at the house and encountered an armed suspect who had barricaded himself inside.
That person was eventually taken into custody.
The relationship of the two family members is unknown.
