Police say Stephen Charles sexually abused 6 young people over an 8-year period

BRONX, New York (WABC) -- An urgent search is underway for a man accused of sexually abusing six young people, five of them minors, over an eight-year period.

The NYPD released images on Thursday of the wanted suspect, 42-year-old Stephen Charles.

Police say between January 2018, and May of this year, Charles sexually abused six victims across several Bronx neighborhoods, including five males, ages 10, 11, 13, 16 and 18, and one 13-year-old girl.

The NYPD is hoping pictures of the suspect will help lead to an arrest.
