Investigation underway after child is found dead inside vehicle parked outside child care center in Plantation

PLANTATION, FLA. (WSVN) - An investigation is underway after a child was found dead inside a vehicle in Plantation, police said.

Plantation Police units responded to A World of Discovery Academy, located on Northwest Fourth Street, near 70th Avenue, Monday afternoon.

The parking lot of the child care center turned into a crime scene after responding officers found the child inside the vehicle.

Police said fire crews declared the child deceased on the scene.
